Vista's Snipping Tool
Available under the Start menu's Programs/Accessories (or simply type Snipping, or Snipping Tool in the search box), Snipping Tool allows you to capture the entire screen, the active window, a rectangle, or even a 'freestyle' selection. Once captured, you can save the file to disk as HTML, JPG, GIF, or PNG. If you have the mail program setup, you can also e-mail the file.
This tool is great. If you have ever used the downloadable free utility Zapgrab it's very similar, but you don't need to paste you copy into paint or another program in order to use the screen-shot. It already does this for you! To be honest it's a simple utility and there's not a whole lot more to it. Just mess with it and you'll see how easy it is to use. You can also use Free-From to draw with a pen the area you want to snip. I've been waiting for a tool like this for a long time! Enjoy!

Don't Expect Geforce 8800 Drivers for Vista Anytime Soon!
Quote:
"We recognize that many GeForce 8800 customers are eager to use their new hardware with Windows Vista. We've received numerous questions from users, and we've seen your comments and complaints on the forums.
Due to rigorous testing requirements to ensure stability and optimal performance, Vista drivers for GeForce 8800 are still in QA. Our driver team and test labs must ensure compatibility across multiple platforms and hundreds of applications, a process that takes several weeks to complete. Please keep in mind that Windows Vista will not be available to end-users until the end of January. We'd like to assure you that Vista drivers for the GeForce 8800 will be available to download when Vista ships to end users at the end of January.
Thank you."
Granted Vista hasn't officially launched yet, but this is not good news for those that already have an 8800 and have aquired a copy of Vista early for testing, or by other means. With the Vista Business release obviously coming before the release of the Geforce 8800 drivers there are going to be alot of people upset at this news. If you were planning on buying a Geforce 8 series card to run with Vista it sounds like your best bet is to wait until the beginning of the year!
